Win-ters & Swea-ters

Nights are always the same, painting the city in black. Every time you look up at the dark sky, you can notice the stars & their constellation. Made regularly without fail. But this night seemed to be different from any other nights here.

Walking on the streets of Gurgaon and gazing through the dazzling street lights I noticed one very important thing. I saw people wearing sweaters and jackets. Winters are the in thing now. You will wonder as to what is so different about winters then? Frankly speaking I have special liking for this season, and since I realized that other people are also a part of it I felt good. To my wonder I later realized that like other people I was also wearing a jacket :).

Good things about winters:

Unlike in summers if I leave the milk unattended out of the refrigerator I dont have to worry about it.
Days are always wonderful. It seems like every day I get up on a hill station. The sun also has a typical warm smile every time. And the air smells so fresh.
This is also the most romantic season of all.
Hearing any soft music has an added melody in winters. i dont n=know why does thing happen but it does.
The best thing to do in winters is lazzzying around.

Bad points about winters:

I don't feel like getting up too early in the morning. I mean how on earth can I leave the warm cozy bed and get ready/dressed for work :(.
I put on a lot of weight during winters. This is not because of heavy duty sweaters that I might happen to wear but due to less movement during these days. There is hardly any morning walk possible. (as if I do the morning walk regularly;).

The streets of Gurgaon will be bustling with the crowd in sweaters of different colors and jackets and pullovers and what not. Slowly as the darkness deepens the frequency of people walking by the sides of the street will also reduce, leaving behind a few of those who have nowhere to go in the night. These people manage their nights by sitting besides the fire wood/tyre, accompanied by stray street dogs who are always busy capturing new territories and saving their existing ones. If you happen to wake up at night any time and hear a dog's bark, then it must be because they are fighting for their territory at that time. Seems to me that these dogs are very brave.

Slowly and steadily we fall in to deep sleep (I just love sleeping :) and now a days I have found a new way to enjoy it. I put the alarm for every morning timings 4:00-30 am. And when in the morning as the alarm rings to wake me up, I feel too happy to find out/realize that their is still time left for me to sleep. The next alarm rings at its regular time. Try it by yourself, it actually works).

Time for me to set the alarm now.

Good night & Sweet dreams. zzzz...
(here at around midnight I actually fell asleep and as usual leaving the laptop open, without realizing that I have not posted the post yet. But thanks to blogger, my post got saved and I posted it the next day, wow!)
I can prove that I am still sleeping!! Just scroll to the last few lines of my first post.

Time after college

So,here I am again and that too with a new image! How bout it. I guess you must be thinking as to why I am saying that its a new image. No! Oh then you are an attentive reader, my post headline says it all. I will not be writing much here on the first day though I intend to but lets see how far can I go.

A quick recap: I am now a days better known as "Hi, I am Sumeet Rathore, currently working with XYZ as a part of the Corporate HR team." Whoa! what a techy intro. Isint it great to hear those kind of introductions. Umm... may be yes upto some extent.

Life has been a roller coaster ride for the past (almost) six months. Recently I worked on the 2008-09 appraisals of the XYZ Group employees. It was fun working with my boss. A look alike of Bil Gates. My team has four people excluding my boss. Garry is the most talkative of all and the most experienced among us 4, having an experience of 1 year :). Fun to be with.

People around in my company are good too. They never pay attention to their work. Always peeping into other's work and departments. Making remarks to each other. These people like just one thing and that is politics. They can hardly stay away from it. So after almost 6 months which is the maxim time I have ever spent with any organization in one go, I am a part of this breath taking roller coaster ride.

Personal life has similar traits too. Cant write much about it, or else you would say I am always cribbing about everything. I guess thats how life is. As deep and unexplored as is the universe. I think I am missing to write some thing... oh yes the big news... My boss has finally decided to resign and he is very happy going back to his old Fortune 500 MNC.

Ok now something off the track. Today I happened to visit Landmark, the music and book shop and their I found that an author of a novel is going to come their for reading some excerpts. His name was Ravinder Singh (26), just like another Chetan Bhagat I guess. Handsome and tall that he was, he worked with Infy in Chandigarh. He wrote his first novel "I too had a love story". It was based on his real life story where he actually lost the love of his life.

After hearing some excerpts from the author himself I was tempted to buy the novel, and what a great opportunity it would be to get the book signed by he himself. Wow! That was fun actually. Now having 2-3 books already in line, I have yet another one which I have brought. I got this reading and writing habit long time back (I mean while in college).

Ok, you know what I just scrolled up the writeup and thought that it was good enough for the readers to read so here I am stopping to write any more. Rest later.

Enjoy! & God bless! (post ends somewhere at the midnight on 23 Nov)

zzz... And then I actually slept, without knowing that I have not posted on the blog.
